2011 FOCUS Lansing Photo Album

FOCUS 2011
Hosted by the Town of Lansing and Lansing Middle School

UWTC staff and volunteers, in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County’s Rural Youth Program, worked with the Lansing Middle School and Elementary students, with the help of two Ithaca College Park Scholar student volunteers, on leadership development activities, community needs assessment, and fund distribution process for the Lansing community. Subjects discussed were healthy school foods, trails and parks improvements, school and public place facilities improvements and school supplies for students in need. Seven (7) grant applications were received totaling $11,280 in requests. Three (3) organizations were selected to receive funding; one of the organizations received full funding and three others received partial funding.
