Ithaca College Student United Way
The Ithaca College Student United Way (IC SUW) is a student-led initiative dedicated to community-wide charitable and volunteer efforts that raises funds to award to local nonprofits through a competitive grant process. IC SUW acts as a link between the campus community and local organizations. IC SUW provides students with experience in the nonprofit sector and grant writing, as well as opportunities to engage with the local community and encourage youth empowerment.
United Way of Tompkins County is proud to support the students with training, volunteer placement, grant administration and financial oversight.

United Way Youth Venture
United Way Youth Venture is a new program that supports young people in designing and implementing social ventures at Dryden High School and Lehman Alternative Community School. IC SUW supports United Way Youth Venture by mentoring high school students as they develop and launch social ventures and by providing seed money to support these ventures.
The annual Spring Family Carnival is IC SUW’s biggest fundraiser. In 2012 the event raised $1,500!
