Grab a cup of hot cocoa and your favorite blanket, and gather around the fireplace, with family and friends! Join United Way of Tompkins County for an evening of stories and musings that celebrate the warmth, goodwill, and hope that is abundant in Tompkins County. This interactive event replaces our longstanding “Holiday Open House” and will provide opportunities for our guests to share their own stories of hope and light. We hope you will register below and join us!

In mid-December following the darkest day of the year many cultures celebrate a return to light as a reminder that even the most difficult times come to an end.

For 100 years, residents of Tompkins County have shared their own individual light with their neighbors by partnering with and giving through United Way of Tompkins County. This event honors those gifts and the light they bring. Together, we will share the warmth and goodwill in our community and be encouraged to share our individual lights with others.

Community members will share stories of light, hope and abundance in Tompkins County. Guests will be invited to  participate in several interactive polls and join in a live chat where they will be able to share their own stories of light, hope and abundance. Together we will celebrate the strong, innovative, and caring community that is Tompkins County.

All donations received through this event will benefit individual households and our local nonprofits.
