How to Make a Gift

Your Gift Makes A Positive Difference ~ Thank you for your support.

Donors have several choices when completing their pledge card (with payroll deduction options) or online donation. Thanks to our generous Corporate Cornerstone Partners and earned income, 100% of gifts directed to United Way of Tompkins County's Community Care Fund, special initiatives, forty-two (42) member organizations, or another United Way, will go directly to support health and human services and programs.

Through our Community Care Fund, your gift will have the greatest impact, when combined with others, to help United Way's Partner Organizations. Giving through the Community Care Fund is the most powerful way to invest in our community through education, health and income initiatives via seven issue areas; Basic Needs, Child Care/Early Learning, Crisis Services, Financial Stability/Building Self-Sufficiency, Health/Environment, Seniors, and Youth.

Donors can direct their gifts to special initiatives, which help to address issues facing our community through the Urgent Rx Prescription Program, Hunger and Food Security Programs, and Student Engagement.

Some donors choose to direct their gifts to other 501(c)(3) health and human service organizations. These designations are charged a nominal processing fee by United Way of Tompkins County, not to exceed 2% of the total gift amount.
