Cornell Athletes Push Back Against COVID-19 with Virtual 10K Fundraiser
Athletes need a purpose- a rival to engage, a time to beat, a goal to accomplish.
Active Against COVID is a fundraiser created as a way for Cornell athletes to stay active and support those in Tompkins County who have been impacted by COVID-19.
COVID-19 has caused meets, events, games and competitions to be canceled for many college athletes, but even worse it has cost many in our community their jobs, their income, and their security.
COVID-19 won't stop us. We will continue our training. We will become stronger, better, faster and we will make sure it doesn't stop others either.
Show COVID-19 that it won't slow our community down and join members of Cornell's Women's Rowing Team, Gabby Gabel ‘22, Mary Kate Henderson ‘22, and Annie Bryson ‘22, in their efforts to remain Active Against COVID-19.
Athletes are encouraged to bring their friends, family and community along as they push back against COVID-19 by asking them to a give through United Way of Tompkins County to programs and services that are supporting individuals and families faced with new and hightened challenges brought on by COVID-19.
Inspired by the dedication and compassion of these athletes? Let them know by giving a gift through the United Way of Tompkins County, and help them to reach their goal of raising $10,000 for individuals and families in Tompkins County.
