James Brown, President of United Way of Tompkins County (UWTC), welcomed a crowd of supporters to Stewart Park today for the Annual Stephen E. Garner Day of Caring and the 2016/17 Community Campaign Kickoff. 8,000 pounds of food, personal care items, pet and school supplies were donated as of 2:30 pm with more expected over the weekend.

United Way of Tompkins County is delighted to announce that the Silo Food Truck – Winner of the 2016 New York State Fair Food Truck Competition, Judges Choice Award – will be at Stewart Park for the Day of Caring on September 15th. Silo will be open from 11:30AM – 1:30PM and a portion of all sales from the food truck will be donated to the United Way Hunger & Food Security initiative.
